    "Overall good." (108030513)

Room was clean and tidy and was not far from where we wanted to go so the description on internet was correct.

We thought that the bar was expensive and we decided to get a taxi in to town to have a better choice. The wine me and my friend got tasted corked and the 2 glasses were about £7. the bottle was already opened in the chiller.

"More than fulfilled my expectations in every respect." (108091871)

All Campanile Hotels offer excellent value and a welcoming, homely & comfortable atmosphere, and Manchester is no exception. They are all identical with a consistent level of service, so it does feel like staying with a familiar friend wherever you are in the country. Also one of the few hotels where you can still book a smoking room! Staff never intrude but are always ready to be flexible to meet your needs.

Very few Campanile Hotels have a lift, but this is a small price to pay.

"Overall, a good basic and value for money hotel in the City. Good parking, clean rooms and friendly and efficient service although I would recommend getting your own breakfast at the Sainsburys cafeteria over the road!" (97225998)

Clean, efficient friendly hotel perfect for overnight stay. Excellent and secure parking which is a real bonus in a city centre.

Some housekeeping details were poor, eg there was no plug in the bathroom sink although one was brought fairly quickly when the problem raised. The breakfast was of a poor quality, the sausages in particular were 'hard' and inedible and had presumably been kept on a hot plate for a long time. The bread for the toast was of a very poor quality, thin processed and was combined with very inefficient toasting facilities. Disappointing for a chain which we have used a lot with good results in France.

"I did find that during the night I was disturbed several times due to noise in the corridor" (108073084)

The room was clean and presentable

On arrival at the hotel, seeing the perrimeter fence was alittle off putting and the security gate. When looking around the area, i suspose it was reasuring. Later on coming back into the car park, someone was trying to gain access to the car park and waiting for cars to enter.

    "very enjoyable" (97445974)

staff very helpful and hotel has a relaxed atmosphere.

Only 1 downside in that the bar closed at 11pm, it would have been good to unwind in the bar after going to a concert in the city.

"For the purpose of easy access to Manchester for my meeting, the hotel was ideally placed, but I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone else." (97601936)

Room was clean and tidy, but small - suitable for single occupancy, but I had originally intended to travel with my wife, and had this happened the room would have been too small. Free parking an advantage.

Only 1 towel in the bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast was very poor - insufficient staff, long wait for service in the evening, food only warm at both meals.

"Over all no complaints but I would try for a hotel nearer Salford Quays. This location means apart from the attached restarant (and Mac Donalds Opp.) you have to drive for any choice of facilities. " (97939541)

A fair price for a city centre hotel of this quality. The room was clean, everything worked. Staff helpful.

On arrival and in the evenings there were people who appeared to be locals using it as the public bar of a local pub. This and the design of the reception area give it a general down market feel. The main road is busy and often niosey.

"Very accessible for town centre and Old Trafford. Decent place to stay with free car park and quiet." (97078169)

This was booked as walking distance from Old Trafford which we have done previous and a reasonable price for an overnight stay.

Booked 12/11/07 for 28/5/08. On 23/5/08 received a phone call saying they had problems with some rooms and needed to book is in an alternative hotel. Both hotels meant it would be unable for us to walk back to our hotel. Found them very unhelpful and had to insist to keep the room and somebody else move. I had to do a lot of phone calls to sort this out. When we arrived was hard to believe by how busy the place that there had been any problems with rooms. Just spoilt the build up for a big night for us after we had arranged so far in advance.

"I would use the hotel again but would not eat there" (97618377)

staff at reception were very good

restaurant and bar service was terrible, we waited for 40 mins for a burger and a bagette, after complaining, they were served to us,the burger and chips were cold and had been lying waiting for someone to serve for a while, the bagette contained the wrong filling, we sent them back and asked for a refund, please note we were not the only people to do this that afternoon. One girl was there to serve the bar and the food despite the bar being very busy, this is unacceptable

"We went to a concert and would normally have stayed at a premier inn or similar but were all booked up so went for Camponile because we had to not out of choice. Will try to avoid staying in one again though, other so called budget hotels are better for the same or less cost." (97900349)

Mid priced hotel, OK for a one night stay over.

The hotel looked tired and in need of an update, Travel lodge or premier charge around the same but are to a better standard. Staff (mostly foreign)were disinterested and did not seem to know what they were doing. Cleanliness was at best adequate. Food in restaurant was Ok for the price but not brilliant.
