    Centrality. Friendliness of staff.

Misinformed about closing time for requesting bar food. Unaware of this we arrived at the wrong time and were met with a very shrug of the shoulders and inflexible attitude even though it was not our fault.

"Nice accommodation Disappointing bistro which lets the hotel down" (97490811)

    Receptionist very efficient and courteous

We were not impressed with the ambience or menu in Kaynes Bistro. The atmosphere was not in keeping with a four star hotel. We were too long waiting for our food and it turned out to be very disappointing - one dish had a cold puree mixed with a warm fish dish and the pasta was very stoggy and unappetising. We were reasonably happy with our starters and dessert. The staff were efficient and courteous and we mentioned to the manager that we were not very satisfied with the meal as he did ask. He was nice about it and apologised.

"Excellent, very good breakfast. would like to have known the possible difficulty of parking. Need to advertise what good views there are from the Hotel." (97987562)

    Good quality, lovely location

Car park can get overcrowded and can be difficult to park in for residents

central for the sites we wanted to see good food in bistro, good size room

upgrading was going on during our stay, could put tea and coffee making in room This should improve when the refit has finished

"The Hotel looked very impressive when walking in the foyer, but then beacme disapointing when entering the room. The rooms were dark and in need of some attension. I felt it needed a bit of mordernisation. The hairdryer in the rooms was a nightmare wish I had took my own. The rooms were clean but not to a high standard, there were cobwebs in the corners. The staff were lovely and pleasant." (2660581)

The main reception in the hall was very inviting

The rooms could do with a genral make over and update Facilities in the room the hairdyer was a nightmare to use. The use of the gym in the other hotel next door could have been pointed out before booking the hotel, we prefer the gym to be on site.

"Had a great stay - Food, accomodation and staff were excellent. Restaurant had great food and good atmosphere." (2048284)

Location - very close to Killarney town.

Can't think of any specific areas that need improvement

"Would have liked to have been able to drink in the bar when returning to the hotel - but this was not able as it was after 11.00 on a Sunday evening; would have thought that this did not matter as we were guests of the hotel." (1888414)

Very comfortable and beautifully decorated room - nice large bed.

Very disappointed that there were no tea/coffe making facilities in the room. Also no towel rails.
